I have never been to Australia but I do know that the wildlife, and especially the birds, is something else compared to Europe! There are also some very good Australian bird books, one by Pizzey & Knight and another by Simpson & Day, in case you get the urge to identify some of the birds around you! You...I love your photos and places, which you show. Your journey is so inspiring! I like to watch the birds too, notably a few months ago I've moved to Australia from Europe, so the local nature is so exotic for me now! A month ago I took here a photo of similar dark-blue brids with red beaks. It was also some swamphens, I guess.
